#1. Although GPS is free for the world to use, it costs $2 million per day to operate. The money comes from American tax revenue.

750 million is the annual operating cost of the Pentagon’s Global Positioning System, according to a new Congressional Research Service report. GPS is a constellation of 24 satellites that now can tell everyone where he or she is in the world (the initial constellation cost $12 billion to put into orbit). The operating cost works out to just over $2 million a day. Quite a bargain when you think about it.

#2. Dan Aykroyd has Tourette's and Asperger's and was born with webbed toes and two different colored eyes. He also has strange obsessions with law enforcement and ghosts, which later led to the idea for Ghostbusters.

#3. That the town of Monowi in Nebraska is the smallest town in the USA with only one resident. Elsie Eiler (84), she is the mayor, clerk, librarian and bar owner. She pays taxes to herself, gives herself her own liquor licenses and votes for herself in municipal elections.

#4. From the ages of 1 to 44 you are most likely to die from an accident. From the age of 45 on, you are most likely to die from cancer or heart disease. (Under 1, you are most likely to die from a birth defect).

#5. That Henry Ford allowed injured laborers to continue work from their hospital beds; screwing nuts on small bolts without getting out of bed. It was optional, but allowed employees to receive their normal salary while hospitalized. Ford believed the work to hasten their recovery.
