An awesome South Carolina teacher decided to go the extra mile and teach young boys valuable life lessons with a new initiative simply titled “The Gentlemen’s Club.” Every Wednesday, nearly 60 students at Memminger Elementary dress up in their finest suit jackets, dress shirts and slacks to learn how to speak to elders, opening doors for women, how to shake hands and other life essentials. The club, which caters to at-risk students in the area, was the brainchild of Raymond Nelson who over the winter break came to a simple realization. From there the Gentlemen’s Club began with a simple motto “Look good, feel good, do good.” Nelson keeps a stash of donated clothes for the students who cannot afford any.
